Carrville United Church Cemetery, aka Carrville Primitive Methodist Cemetery, aka Cooks Mill Cemetery is located on the north side of Rutherford Road, west of Bathurst Street in the Thornhill section of the City of Vaughan. The land for the church and burial ground was donated by Thomas Cook the first postmaster of Carrville in 1857. The land was originally part of the Reaman family farm who received the land in 1804 after migrating from Somerset Co. Pennsylvania.  The Cook family also ran the mill in the area, they immigrated from England in 1833. Both Thomas and his brother William are buried here. 

The church, now a reformed synagogue was built in 1857 the same year that the Methodist cemetery was established.  The earliest burial was in 1841 for William Deadman.  There are several headstones that have been gathered into a small cairn at the east end of the property near the fence line. Which was the Reaman Family Farm burial ground.  It was also from this area that in 1973 two headstones for the Reaman family were relocated to the Baker-Cober Cemetery by Amos Baker a descendant. 

The cemetery is now in the care of the City of Vaughan and still received burials for those who have family plots.
